I am psychotherapist ,specialized in educational psychology. I’ve provided emotional care to children as a volunteer in foster care centers in Nicaragua. I’ve worked in the education field as a counselor and teacher in Spain for more than 10 years.
I always feel the need to give special attention to children’s emotions and to provide assistance and guidance to cultivate a healthy emotional being. Working with children took me into finding out why children were struggling in school. Parents initially focus only on school issues and behavior. However in many cases the child’s problem stems from issues within family units. This finding led me into studying clinical psychology focusing on family issues. I’m trained as well in Gestalt and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to be able to give adults the guidance and confidence needed to resolve issues.
I accompany children, adolescents and their families during crisis processes. Each case is treated adapting different techniques to the specific needs.
